Renewal and Hope
I would like to talk to you about the renewal and hope that can be found in this world today. When we invite Jesus into our life and ask him to forgive our sins, we not only have salvation through him, but we also now have a new life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says “... anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone a new life has begun.” So, what does it mean to be a new person? in John’s Gospel chapter 10, verse 10 Jesus says “the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” This fullness is more than having a new set of goals and values in life. This is about experiencing a satisfaction like never before bringing your life to a new level of happiness. The paradox to me is how Christ through his death can bring new life to us. One man’s death gives the opportunity for us to have a new life. As you look forward to the new life that is so evident in the spring time, please remember that through Jesus this new life can be a part of your identity as well.
