What If You Were There?
Hebrews 11:1-3 says, “faith shows the reality of what we hope for, it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.” The scripture often takes us to a point of decision. Do we believe it or not? Rev. Dr. Billy Graham said he had to come to a point in his life where he decided to accept the scriptures even if he did not understand everything. He said from that point on he had no regrets. You have probably heard someone say if I’m wrong as a Christian I lose nothing but if an unbeliever is wrong you lose everything and will spend eternity in hell. Hebrews 11:6 tells us it is impossible to please God without faith. So, what if you had been there when the report was given that the stone was rolled away and the body of Jesus was no longer there. Would you have had enough faith to believe in the resurrection? Jesus told Thomas “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.” (John 20:29). The choice is very much as real today as ever. Do you believe in Jesus Christ, in his Holy Word or not? Faith says I will trust him even when I don’t understand. When we love Jesus enough to trust him, we realize the benefits are all ours. May you put your trust in him through faith.
Blessings my friends.
