Let's Talk About Love

Love seems like something our world could use more of. I heard a preacher say that we would not need a jail or military if everyone followed Christian morals and values. First Corinthians 13:4-7 says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, It is not proud. It does not dishonor others., it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” Love begins with patience and kindness. Immediate gratification is not its objective. Love provides a spirit of openness and understanding. Envy and pride are not ingredients found in love. A pure love celebrates the success of others instead of resenting them. It does not seek to elevate oneself at the expense of others. True love looks for opportunities to bless others. Often people are hurt because no one told them thank you. However, when love is your motivation how others respond is not your goal. Make the best of every day and if you ever feel like no one loves you remember God loves us so much he let his son die for you. United with Godly love we can make our world a better place. Blessings my friends.
