“Standing in the Gap”
Standing in the gap is a call to action for believers to intercede on behalf of their nation, community, the world, and brothers and sisters in Christ. It means we are called to be defenders of righteousness in a world of sin. To stand for what is right is to stand against evil. In Ezekiel 22:30 we see the call for such a valiant person go unanswered and as a result, sin is punished. Today we are called to stand in the gap for righteousness by living and sharing the truths of God. I believe it’s this same type of calling. Will someone take a Godly stand or ignore the truth and once again see the devastating result of sin? I can only hope as Christians we will stand in the gap for others with the liberating truth of God. Let us take this calling seriously and watch the hand of God at work.
Blessings my friends.
