Living In A Changing World

With all the complexities in our world today and the constant barrage of bad news headlines, it can begin to add stress and cause fear, especially among the younger generation.  They find themselves facing something new, and the perplexities of how to move forward without allowing fear to control their life. Many older adults are counting down the days, but the younger generation wants to experience a happy life with a hopeful future.  The Bible offers us some advice for this. Psalm 56:3 says, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” David in the Bible started as a shepherd boy and eventually became a king. However, his life was full of challenges.  He faced a confrontation with a bear and a lion.  He fought a giant that trained soldiers were afraid of.  Many times his enemies pursued him with a desire to kill him. Yet, his advice in Psalm 56:3 is key to overcoming fear.  God doesn’t want us to worry and fret, but to live a happy and victorious life and this will only happen when we put our trust in him.
