“Mother’s Day”
Mother’s Day, a globally celebrated occasion, causes phone calls to surge by over 30%, as revealed by History.com. This unique day holds the record for the most phone calls made, surpassing any other in the calendar year. While traditions vary worldwide, the essence of this day unites us in celebrating the pivotal role of mothers. The Bible exalts Mary, the mother of Jesus, as supremely favored among women (Luke 1:28). This divine acknowledgment sets a precedent for honoring the virtues of motherhood. Reflecting on this, one cannot help but feel immense gratitude for the nurturing presence of a Godly mother.
I am blessed with an 87-year-old mother, who is not just a beacon of faith but also my prayer partner. Our daily evening prayers are a testament to our bond and her unwavering devotion. Her journey through the challenges of raising six children, marked by innumerable sacrifices, instilled in me a profound respect. Calling her my mother is an honor that fills my heart with pride.
As we approach Mother’s Day, let us cherish and express our appreciation for the extraordinary women in our lives. Whether it is through a heartfelt phone call or a prayer, celebrating their sacrifices, strength, and love is a beautiful tribute to their enduring impact. I hope you, too, feel a similar sense of reverence and affection towards your mother, recognizing her as a gift in your life.
Be blessed, my friends.
