Have you ever felt overwhelmed with troubles? There are many things in life that cause trouble and stress. Often, it’s the little things that pile up and work on us the most. In Matthew's Gospel chapter 6 verse 34 we read, “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” If you recall, the Christmas advent season is about hope, peace, joy, love, and Christ. If we reflect on this, it will bring us an opportunity for renewal, and certainly a changed life. Every one of us goes through times when we feel overwhelmed. The holiday season is certainly one of those times for many people. However, Jesus is telling us to focus on the here and now. The blessings he gives us today should not steal the joy with tomorrow’s worries. I want to encourage you to please put your faith, trust, and hope in Jesus Christ. We read in Romans 5:8 that God showed His great love for us by sending Jesus to die for us while we were still sinners. Refuse to let the pressures of the world overwhelm you. Find peace with Jesus and enjoy each day with the blessings provided. Blessings my friends.
