Freedom: Living in the Liberty of God

Freedom: Living in the Liberty of God
People long to be free from fear, guilt, oppression addiction, regret, and the burdens that weigh
so heavily. The Bible teaches that true freedom is found not merely in political rights or personal
independence, but in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Jesus declared: “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
— John 8:36
The apostle Paul writes:
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
— Romans 8:2
Biblical freedom is not selfish independence. It is the liberty to love and serve others.
“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for
the flesh, but through love serve one another.”
— Galatians 5:13
Freedom in Christ is both a gift and a daily journey. Believers are encouraged to remain faithful
and steadfast.
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free.”
— Galatians 5:1
Freedom is one of God’s greatest gifts. While nations celebrate political liberty, Christians
celebrate the freedom found in Jesus Christ. Through Him we are released from sin, forgiven of
our failures, empowered to serve, and given hope for eternity.
True freedom is not found in doing whatever we want, but in becoming what God created us to
be.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
— 2 Corinthians 3:17
Be blessed, my friends. I hope to see you on Sunday.
Pastor Steve.
