How Do I Look?

One of the most dangerous questions ever asked to a man. Have you ever been on a trip for vacation and found yourself looking for a nice restaurant or Hotel? Price is important but even more is the first glance or the appearance. We’ve all passed on restaurants and hotels without ever inquiring about the price because of the appearance alone. Could the same be true of churches or even professing Christians? Here’s another thought, you go to a store to pick up a specific item unsure of where it is located. Hoping to find a clerk you look around but even if you make eye contact with one, they seem to run and hide. No one likes this type of service in a store or a church. Think about these things and be genuine looking for the opportunity to be a help. Remember the Gary Collins quote; “Good is the enemy of great.” If you want to be genuine or want others to see your church as a 5-star church, then you must be certain others see God in action when they look at you or they will probably pass on you and your church.
