Faithful to the End

Faithful to the End
There is something special about a person who stays faithful to the very end.
We live in a world where people often give up when things become difficult. Commitments are abandoned when they become inconvenient. Promises are forgotten when keeping them becomes costly. There is still something powerful about the decision to keep going even when the road becomes difficult.
Jesus never promised that following Him would always be easy. He never said there would be no storms, disappointments, losses, or difficult seasons. In fact, He warned His followers that they would face trouble. But He also promised that He would be with them. He loved us enough to go to the cross for us so there is no reason to doubt that he won’t remain faithful with us to the end.
In Revelation 2:10, Jesus gives this powerful encouragement:
“But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life.” —
Revelation 2:10 NLT Faithfulness is not simply serving God when everything is going well. It is continuing to trust Him when the answers don’t come quickly. It is praying when you don’t feel like praying. It is worshiping when your heart is hurting. It is going to church when life has given you every reason to stay home. It is holding on to God’s promises when you feel abandoned. Being faithful doesn’t mean that we never struggle. It means that when we struggle, we don’t walk away from Jesus.
Think about the people who have influenced your life the most. Often, they aren’t the people who accomplished the most or received the most recognition. They are the people who we simply call friends.
They kept their word.
They kept serving.
They kept praying.
They kept loving.
They kept believing.
They kept walking with Jesus.
And someday, when this earthly journey is over, wouldn’t it be wonderful to hear the words,
“Well done, my good and faithful servant”?
Our goal isn’t simply to start the Christian journey. Our goal is to finish it and receive the crown Jesus has prepared for us.
Be blessed my friend.
