“When the Past Won’t Let Go of You”
There are moments in life when the past feels less like a memory and more like a burden. You try
to move forward, but something keeps pulling you backward. A mistake. A heartbreak. A
betrayal. A tragedy. Words spoken years ago still echo in your mind as if they happened
yesterday.
People often say, “Just let it go.” But anyone who has walked through deep pain knows it is not
that simple. Sometimes, it feels like the grip of the past gets stronger instead of letting up. The
hurts matter and losses constantly challenge you.
Yet even when the past continues knocking at the door of your heart, it does not have to control
the future God has for you.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good
and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Put your trust in Jesus and remember he controls life and our future. Blessings my friends. Hope
